Keyboard controller /
Gate A20 failure.
Try reseating the keyboard controller chip. If the
error still occurs, replace the keyboard chip
(controller). If the error persists, check parts of
the system relating to the keyboard. For
example, try another keyboard, and check
whether the system has a keyboard fuse.

Virtual mode exception
error.
Contact HP Support or your authorized dealer for
further troubleshooting information.

Display memory
read/write failure.
Indicates a memory
error on the video
board.
Replace the video board or the memory on the
video board.

ROM BIOS checksum
failure. Indicates faulty
BIOS chip(s).
It is unlikely that this error can be corrected by
reseating the chips. Contact HP Support or your
authorized dealer for further troubleshooting
information.
