3. Attach the SCSI signal cable

to the SCSI connector

location on the rear
panel of the DLT VS 40/80 GB tape drive and then to the external SCSI-2 port
on the server.
4. Tighten the thumbscrews to secure the cable to the connector.
5. Attach the terminator (not shown) to the SCSI connector

WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment,
do not disable the power cord grounding feature. This equipment is designed
for connection to a grounded (earthed) power outlet. The grounding plug is an
important safety feature.
6. Plug the drive AC power cord

into the drive, then into a grounded AC
outlet.
7. Plug in the AC power cords for any remaining peripheral devices and power
all of them on.
8. Plug in the AC power cord for the server and power it on.
See Figure 5 if you want to daisy-chain several drives.
