Introduction
This chapter contains step-by-step instructions for installing the Windows Server
2003 and Linux SCSI Miniport drivers.
System managers must be familiar with the operating system under which the PCI
or PCI-X-to-Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter (HBA) is to operate. System
managers must also have access to standard system documentation.
The software kit that is included with the HBA contains the latest version of the
HBA’s files and drivers at the time of shipment. Software files are updated
periodically and can be obtained from the HP website at:

Note: This chapter describes the steps for installing the device driver and for accessing
Fibre Channel storage devices. For other configuration changes, see Chapter 5, Modify
