Step 4: Take some photos
1.
Open the lens cover to turn the camera on.
•
The status LCD on the top of the camera indicates the CompactFlash memory
card and battery status. Be sure to move your fingers away from the camera
lens after opening the cover.
2.
Adjust the settings.
•
Use the buttons on the top of the camera if you want to adjust the flash
setting (turn it on/off, or use red-eye reduction), change the photo quality,
use auto-focus, or use the self-timer.
3.
Take your photo.
•
Press the
Shutter Release
button 1/2 way. When you see the green light in the
viewfinder, press the button all the way down. The camera will beep to let you
know the photo has been taken.
