3.

Remove the TouchPad board by carefully pushing the TouchPad down (2) and routing the cable

through the opening (3) (the cable was disconnected earlier from the top cover).

Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad button board.

Battery Board (select models only)

The battery board is for select HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC computer models.
Before removing the battery board, follow these steps:

1.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

2.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet

and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

3.

Remove the battery (see 

Battery on page 76

).

4.

Remove the optical drive.

5.

Remove the base enclosure and top cover (see 

Base enclosure on page 80

).

Remove the battery board:

1.

Turn the computer, with the front edge toward you.

2.

Remove the two screws (1).
