1. Carefully place the system board face down.
2. Insert a thin plastic tool (1) to lift the RTC battery, and then remove the battery (2).
Reverse this procedure to install the RTC battery.

IMPORTANT: Make special note of each screw and screw lock size and location during removal
and replacement.
Before removing the power connector, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 32 ).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34 ), and then remove the following components:
a. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 39 ).
b. SSD (see SSD (M.2) on page 41 ).
c. Fans (see Fans on page 48 ).
d. System board (see System board on page 53 ).
