Overview of the Installation Procedure
Installing your HP Matrox G450 Graphics Card is a four step
process. You need to:
•
Remove the Existing Video Driver Software (if necessary)
•
Install your HP Matrox G450 Graphics Card
•
Install the New Driver Software
•
Configure the Driver Software.
NOTE
It is strongly recommended that you have no video driver installed
when you begin installing your new card.
Removal of the Existing Video Driver Software
This section describes how to remove the existing driver software
on a comptuer running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 or
Windows NT 4.0. If you do not have any specific driver software
installed (for example you are using the standard VGA driver) you
can proceed to “Installing your HP Matrox G450 Graphics Card” on
page 5.
To remove an existing video driver:

In Windows click on
Start
➪
Settings
➪
Control Panel.

Double click on
Add/Remove Programs.

Click on the
Install/Uninstall
tab
(
Windows 95, Windows 98 & Windows NT 4.0 only)

In the list of software which appears, select the old driver software
and click
Add/Remove
(
Windows 95, Windows 98 & Windows NT 4.0)
For Windows 2000 click on
Change/Remove

To confirm uninstallation of the driver click
OK.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

When uninstallation is complete, restart your computer.
