Fingerprint reader assembly (includes cable)

Before removing the fingerprint reader assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the bottom cover (see

Remove the fingerprint reader assembly:
1.
Position the computer upright and open all the way.
2.
Disconnect the fingerprint reader board cable from the system board.
3.
Position the computer upside down.
4.
Remove the Mylar cover from atop the fingerprint reader assembly (1).
5.
Slide the bracket toward the right, and then lift it from the computer (2).
