VNC Shadow

VNC Shadow allows the administrator to remotely observe or take
control of the user’s desktop.

HP Desktop Options

VNC Shadow

: Select to enable remote access to the thin client.

■

Read Only Mode

: Select to prevent the remote access session

from making changes to the unit.

■

Advise User of Monitoring

: Select to display a message that

informs the logged on user that their session is about to be
monitored. You can customize the message by typing text in the
box. The user can click

okay

to allow monitoring, or close the

dialog box to disallow monitoring.

■

Password Protect

: Select to require a password to remotely

access the thin client.

The VNC Shadow password must be at least six characters long.
