Result Code Control
Result codes are informational messages sent from the modem and displayed on your
monitor. Basic result codes are OK, CONNECT, RING, NO CARRIER, and ERROR.
Also sometimes referred to as "quiet" mode, the Q setting controls the level of result
codes generated by the modem.
Q0
Display result codes (default).
Q1
Quiet mode; no result codes.
Q2
Displays result codes only in Originate Mode.
Result Codes:
OK
n = 0 - 2.
ERROR
Otherwise.
Sn
Read/Write an S-Register
Sets the register r to the specified value n.
The Sr? command reads (displays) the value in register r.
Q$
Display the list of S-register settings.
Qr=n
Set S-register "r" to "n".
Qr$
Display the value of S-register "r".
Result Codes:
OK
n = $, r = n, r$.
ERROR
