The HP Color LaserJet 4730 MFP and HP Color LaserJet CM4730 MFP have an external USB
port. These devices do not have an internal USB port, but do feature an internal Compact Flash slot.
To install the USB card reader to an external USB port on the HP Color LaserJet 4730 MFP or HP Color
LaserJet CM4730 MFP, complete the following steps:
1.
Turn off the power to the device.

Locate the type A female USB port on the back of the device.
