USB card reader hardware
The HPAC Secure Printing USB external card reader hardware contains the following parts:

HPAC proximity card/badge reader that connects to the host USB port of the device
NOTE:
There is one reader per type of proximity card. The cards compatible with the reader are
indicated on the back of the card reader.
●
An enhanced input/output (EIO) slot plate with a hole to route the USB cable out of the device
formatter (used for installing on an internal USB port only)
●
Two adhesive cable brackets to route the reader cable from the back to the front of the device
(optional)
●
A double-sided adhesive strip, applied to the back of the reader, to affix the reader on the device
case (optional)
NOTE:
Be sure to affix the adhesive strip on either side of the product label on the back of the
reader. Do not affix the adhesive strip over the bar code on the back of the reader, as that
information is necessary for support.
