Requirements
Using
A
veraging
F
or
all
calibrations
,
use
the
same
or
greater
averaging
factor
than
will
be
used
for
the
device
measurement.
In
general,
use
an
averaging
factor
of
8
or
16
for
most
measurements
.
Hewlett-P
ackard
recommends
that
you
increase
the
averaging
factor
for
the
isolation
portion
of
the
calibration
(in
RCS
calibration
this
is
the
background
calibration).
This
can
be
easily
accomplished
by
turning
A
veraging
ON
before
beginning
the
calibration,
then
leaving
averaging
factor
as
the
active
function
during
the
calibration.
If
you
are
using
averaging

averaging
is
ON
during
calibration,
then
the
correct
number
of
measurements
needed
to
provide
fully
averaged
data
are
automatically
taken.
