HP Vectra with Windows NT 3.51 Workstation.
•
3COM EtherLink III 3C509B-TP ISA 10BT network adapter and driver
disk version 6.0.
•
Driver File: ELNK3ND3.SYS, version 5.26.31
•
Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 Workstation media.
•
Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack 5.
•
Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 Server system that supports NetBEUI,
NWLink IPX/SPX Compatible Transport and NWLink NetBIOS network
protocols.
Device Configuration
Procedure
1
With the HP Vectra turned off, install the 3COM 3C509B network adapter
into an ISA slot.

Connect network cable media to the 3COM 3C509B network adapter.

Power on the machine and boot to a DOS bootable disk.

Insert the 3COM 3C509B driver disk and execute “3C5X9CFG.EXE”.

Select “CONFIGURE NIC” and verify the resource settings listed above
under the heading “Device Configuration”.

If changes are required, save those changes and exit.

Remove the 3COM 3C509B driver disk and reboot the system to Windows
NT.
