and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the speakers:
1.
Turn the top cover upside down, with the front edge toward you.
2.
Release the speaker cables from the clips built into the TouchPad

and top cover

3.
Release the speakers from the clips

built into the top cover.
4.
Remove the speakers and cables
(4)
.
Reverse this procedure to install the speakers.
