Default level
2: System level
Parameters
delay-time
: Sets the link down suppression interval, ranging from 2 to 10 seconds.
Description
Use
link-delay delay-time mode up
to enable an Ethernet interface to suppress link down events.
When the physical link of the interface goes down, the interface suppresses the link down event and
starts a timer. When the timer expires, the physical layer reports the event to the upper layers.
Use
undo link-delay
to restore the default.
By default, the link down suppression interval on an Ethernet interface is 0 seconds.
The
link-delay mode up
command
and the
link-delay
command supersede each other. The
command that is configured last takes effect.
Do not configure this command on ports with RRPP, MSTP, or Smart Link enabled.
