Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down
through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power adapter cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 13
).
5.
Remove the speaker (see
Speaker on page 14
).
6.
Remove the rear-facing webcamera (see
Rear-facing webcamera on page 14
).
7.
Remove the antenna board (see
Antenna board on page 16
).
8.
Remove the touch screen board (see
Touch screen board and display cable on page 17
).
9.
Remove the power/volume button board (see
Power/volume button board on page 18
).
Remove the system board:
1.
Remove the three Phillips screws (1) that secure the system board to the display panel assembly.
2.
Carefully remove the system board (2), which is held with tape.
Reverse this procedure to install the system board.
