Hozelock Flood Pump 7825 Manual Download Page 5

When set up for automatic
operation the pump will turn on at
a water depth of 400mm, and turn
off at a water depth of 190mm
(Fig 1)

Before installation, and whenever you
are handling the pump, always
disconnect from the electrical supply.

To prevent injury, never put your
fingers into the mouth of the
pump.

• Use the handle provided to carry or

lift the pump (see Fig 2)

• To maximise pump performance

always use either 25mm or 32mm
hose with this pump

• Cut the hose tail to match the

diameter of the hose selected.
25mm (no cut required),
32mm (cut as indicated Fig 3)

• Screw the threaded fitting supplied

onto the pump. (Fig. 4)

To connect the pump to a hose, push
over the inlet and secure with a rust
proof hose clip (not supplied). Ensure
that the hose is not kinked and free to
drain to waste. Pump performance
depends upon hose length, hose
diameter and discharge height.
NEVER use

" (12.5mm garden hose)

• The flood pump is fitted with an

automatic float switch. This turns the
pump on/off automatically as the
water level rises. For correct operation
it needs a minimum of 50cm in all
directions to prevent the float switch
jamming on the container. (Fig 5)

• The Hozelock Flood Pump has

a built in thermal protection switch.
The pump stops if an overload
condition occurs. The motor restarts
automatically after it has cooled
down.

• Insert the plug into a 220-240v A/C

socket (Fig 6)

• To use the pump manually the float

switch should be supported. In manual
mode the pump will pump down to a
minimum depth of 70mm

• To ensure correct automatic

operation, the float switch should be
clipped into the pump housing as
indicated (fig 7)

In ordinary conditions the Flood Pump
does not require any maintenance,
however occasionally it will be necessary
to clean the inlet (see figs 8 & 9).

Make sure that the pump is
disconnected from the electric
power supply before performing
any maintenance. (Fig 6)

• Stage 1 Cleaning :

Remove the 3 screws on the base
plate and remove any visible debris
(Fig 8)

• Stage 2 Cleaning :

Remove a further 6 screws and
remove debris within the pump
chamber (Fig 9)

• Then re-assemble

• Store the pump in a dry place and

protect from frost.
