Assembly

This assembly manual is for CHC25, 30, 36 Header Wagon models. The CHC30 is used as an example in the illustrations

but generally applies to all header wagon models. Model specific instructions are identified in the manual.
The machine is shipped from the factory in a partially disassembled configuration and attached to a pallet that provides

easy moving and handling. Always use tools, equipment and fork lifts of appropriate size and capacity for the job.

When the machine is shipped, follow this safe assembly procedure:

1. Clear the area of bystanders, especially small children.

2. Be sure you have all the required tools before you start.

3. Prepare a clean, clear work area that is accessible from all sides.

4. Remove all the parts from the shipping package, and keep hardware in an accessible place (work bench etc)

STEP 1

Reach & Bottom Rail

1.  Set the axle assemblies up on

wheel stands, ensure they are

secure from unexpected movement

during assembly.

2.  Front axle: Insert the reach tube to the reach

receivers at front axles, and tighten securely with a

5/8 x 41/2 bolt and locknut at both ends of each tube.

3.

Rear axle: while inserting the reach tubes into the receiver tubes

in rear axle, insert the 1½” retainer ring into space in rear receiver

tube. Secure with 5/8” x 4 ½” bolts and lock nuts provided.

4.

With a helper, carefully place the 4.0” x 6.0” bottom rail into cradle

brackets on both axles. Center the rail between front and back axles and

secure with two 5/8” u-bolts, washers and lock-nuts at each end.
