Coulter discs
The serrated coulter discs cut the harvest resi-
dues and the soil and mix the harvest residues
in down to working depth.
Coulter discs with bearings
Maintenance
¾
The bearings of the discs are filled with grease
and therefore principally maintenance-free.
Check the bearings regularly for clearance,
leak tightness and even running after ex-
tended idle times.
¾
In case of loose discs, tighten all screws with
160 ± 20 Nm.
¾
When replacing discs, tighten all screws with
200 ± 20 Nm.
Do not use adhesives for securing.
NOTE
¾
Use appropriate tools (e.g. torque wrench) to
be able to maintain the demanded tolerances!
Cleaning
¾
Do not wash the bearing points with high-
pressure cleaners.
Packer
In the working position the machine runs on the
packer. Due to the weight of the machine a high
consolidation and a fine crumbly, level surface
is achieved.
Packer variants:
•
Tyre Packers
•
SteelDisc Packer
•
RollFlex Packer
•
FarmFlex Packer
With cohesive soils the packers may become
blocked with soil and thus become considerably
heavier. This may overload machine compo-
nents. Roads may be soiled during transport.
NOTE
¾
Clean packer the packer regularly during work
when soil attaches to it.
¾
Generally clean the packer before starting
road travel.
Maintenance
¾
Check packer bearings for tight fit.
¾
Check packer shafts for free rotation
¾
Check packer segments for wear, deformation
and breakage.
Only for tyre packers:
¾
Check wheels for tight fit.
¾
Check air pressure before use.
Only for SteelDisc packers:
¾
Adjust the scrapers as necessary.
