DiscSystem
Discs with bearings
The two rows of the serrated discs cuts through
the harvest residues and the soil and mixes the
harvest residues in down to working depth.
Lateral spade discs and optional side limitations
counteract the formation of ridges along the
adjoining track.

Maintenance
¾
The bearings of the discs are filled with grease
and therefore principally maintenance-free.
Check the bearings regularly for clearance,
leak tightness and even running after extend-
ed idle times.
¾
In case of loose or already worn discs, tighten
all screws with 160 ± 20 Nm.
¾
When replacing discs, tighten all screws with
200 ± 20 Nm.
Do not use adhesives for securing.
NOTE
¾
Use appropriate tools (e.g. torque wrench) to
be able to maintain the demanded tolerances!
Lower the machine therefore to a firm, level
ground onto the discs to prevent the discs
from slipping.
Cleaning
The mechanical seals on the disc bearings are
sensitive against the entry of water and sub-
sequent extended storage periods (rusting, oil
leaks with defect of the bearing).
¾
Do not wash the bearing locations with high
pressure cleaners.
¾
Before extended idle periods, spray bearing
locations with rust dissolver or similar.
¾
Before taking back into service turn the discs
by hand and check for free rotation.
