This Hornby Point Motor may be used with any
Hornby point that has a point-switching mechanism
of the sliding bar type. As shown in Fig. 1.
The operating power may be either 12v DC or 15 / 16v AC.
The normal source of this power is from the Accessory out-
put on a controller.) A Hornby R044 Passsing Contact Lever
Switch (not included with the point motor) is recommended
for use with the Hornby R8243 Point Motor.
For analogue control only, connect up the point motor (or
point motors) as shown in Fig 2a and 2b above. Hornby
Lever Switches are designed to be plugged together in
banks which will keep the wiring to a minimum. All switches
share a common wire to the Controller.
Never allow a Passing Contact Lever Switch to flick over by
spring pressure. Always move smoothly the lever the full
distance from one end of its slot to the other. Do not hold or
rest the lever in any other position or the point motor may
otherwise be damaged by overheating.

to the instruction manual supplied with the Point / Accessory
Decoder.

cavo possible. Tutti gli swich dividono un cavo comune per
il Controller
Mai spostare leva di contatto dello switch con uno scatto a
molla. Muovete sempre dolcemente la leva lungo tutta la
distanza da un punto all’altro. Non tenete o fermate la leva
in una posizione diversa da quella dello scambio motore, in
quanto potreste danneggiarlo o surriscaldarlo.
