Description of the appliance

Place of use and connection to power supply
• Always place the appliance on a level, stable surface and ensure a clear
space of at least 10 cm around the appliance. The appliance is not designed
for connection or use in a cabinet or out of doors.
• Insert the two rear feet, supplied separately with the appliance, firmly into the
recesses at the rear of the appliance.
• When the appliance is switched on for the first time, a mild odour may occur.
This is normal. Ensure sufficient ventilation for it to dissipate. The smell will
only last for a short time and will then disappear.
ATTENTION
Certain parts of this appliance may become very hot and cause
burns.
Starting up and functions
• Insert the plug into an earthed power socket and switch the appliance on with
the ON/OFF switch.
• The right-hand ON/OFF switch controls the top heating element and the left-
hand switch the bottom element. When one element is switched on, the
appliance provides 400 watts of heating power; when both elements are on, it
provides 800 watts of heating power.
