8. Analyser settings
8.1. Cycles tab description

Maintenance\Serv.\Settings\Cycles
".
The "
Cycles
" tab allows to:

set the automatic run of startup and cleaning cycles: See

8.2.1. Settings startup cycle

The startup cycle is used daily, prior to any normal operation to ensure that detergent from the
shutdown cycle is completely rinsed out of the system.
◆
It includes a reference blank count which must be verified prior to any analysis of samples. This
is necessary to ensure that there are "No" extraneous interferences that may be detected as
background noise which will affect the cell count. See Section 4,
for more information regarding startup.
In the "
Cycles
" tab:

Press "
Cycles
" radio button.

Press "
Edit
" button.

Check the "
Automatic startup cycle
" check box to activate/deactivate automatic running of
startup cycle. It is activated by default.

In the "
Startup cycle alarm after inactivity
" list, use arrow button to set the inactivity time
(between 2 and 8 hours, by 1 hour step) after which the alarm startup is triggered. This alarm
informs the user that a startup cycle run is mandatory before running an analysis cycle.

8.2.2. Setting autocleaning frequency

This function allows the operator to change the cycle frequency of the automatic cleaning cycle
which occurs when the cycle number programmed, has been reached.

This automatic cleaning cycle involves the use of the solution ABX Miniclean which is an
enzymatic cleaner. This solution breaks down protein buildup in the counting chambers and
apertures.
In the "
Cycles
" tab:

" radio button.

In the "
Automatic cleaning cycle after
" list, use arrow button to set the number of analysis
cycles which can be run before running a cleaning cycle (from 1 to 100 analyses, by 1 analysis step).

Analyser settings can only be done by a user with a "
Scientist
" profile.
