4. Fill detergent container with HOOVER 

Drain suction hose by turning carpet cleaner 

ON and holding nozzle up for several min-

utes. 

Do not press trigger.

Unplug carpet cleaner from electrical 

outlet.

Disconnect hose and solution tube 

from carpet cleaner.

Drain solution tube by placing round end in 

sink and raising nozzle above your head. 

Press the trigger.

Read “Before you begin cleaning” 

instructions on page 9.

SpinScrub™ hand tool (in place of brush

How to attach tools

Unplug carpet cleaner from electri-

cal outlet.

1. Place handle in upright position and 

remove hose from rack.

All tools attach to the hose in the same man-

ner:

2. Connect tool to hose by sliding it onto con-

nector until the tab (H) locks it securely.
Using your thumb,

Attaching scrub module

 

Available at additional cost if not included 

with your cleaner.
1. Open the tool door and remove the 

SpinScrub™ hand tool.
2. Grasp the sides of the brush module and 

lift it from the base (J).
3. Snap scrub module onto the base.

Note:

 It may be necessary to rotate the 

scrub module (K) slightly so it will align prop-

erly to the base.

To remove hose: Squeeze latches (D) on top 

and bottom of hose. Remove hose from port. 

Close door.

Remove solution tube (B) from solution con-

nection port.
