Powering Up
During the two minutes, or so, that the DVR needs to initialize, it is good practice to NOT
turn it off (see
1. Plug the Rapid Eye Hybrid LT DVR and its cameras into a power source, preferably an
uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
2. Turn on camera(s) and other hardware connected to the DVR.
3. Press the power switch on the back panel of the Hybrid LT DVR. If you have a
LocalView monitor connected (see
) you have the choice of using
the Primary or Recovery system boot (see
Booting with Primary or Recovery Operating
). If no choice is made, the Primary Operating System boot is
selected and executed after 5 seconds.
Note
Honeywell recommends that you power the cameras before powering the
Rapid Eye Hybrid LT DVR. This should ensure all the cameras are detected
by the unit when it powers up.
Booting with Primary or Recovery Operating System
Rapid Eye users have two options for booting the operating system. When powering the
unit, users have the option of booting the OS from either the primary or recovery hard
drives. If no selection is made, the primary system boot is selected by default and is
automatically executed after 5 seconds.
