6.2 Electrical installation
CAUTION:
Power supply and mains frequency
must correspond to the nominal values indicated
on the device’s type plate. Only professionals
may work on electrical systems. Relevant local
safety regulations have to be followed.
Wiring diagram:
Do not feed power supply at the
sensor input. This leads to
destruction of the device.
Note:
•
The maximum length of the sensor cable is
20 m, with a minimum cross section
of 2 x 0.75 mm
2

Solder extension cable to sensor cable to
avoid contact resistance.
•
It is advisable to use shielded sensor
extension cables. All shields must be laid at
the side of the control unit onto an
earthing/protective potential. The extension
cable shield must not be connected on the
sensor side to avoid equipotential bonding
currents via the shielding.
•
Pay attention to the operative range of the
sensor cable:
– 40 °C to +80 °C fixed cable laying
– 30 °C to +80 °C loose cable laying

Operating the device
7.1 Start-up
The display of temperature is started by
connecting the power supply to the binders 1 and
2 (see chapter 6.2).
7.2 Display
The display indicates the room temperature,
measured with room sensor T1 in °C or °F
depending on the selected display parameter
(see chapter 7.5.3 - Changing the temperature
display).
7.3 Error message deviation of measuring
range
The measuring range of the PTI 610 lies between
-55 °C and + 99 °C. If the temperature exceeds
the value +99 °C the error message HtA and the
current temperature altitude is blinking alternately
on the display.

If the temperature falls below -55 °C the error
message LtA is blinking on the display.

The display automatically returns to the standard
display as soon as there is no limit error
anymore.
7.4 Alert
If the sensor breaks down due to a short circuit or
an interruption PF1 is displayed.
To return to the standard display after eliminating
the error the device must be disconnected from
the power supply for a short time.
