Installing and Connecting the Batteries

Connect another cable from TB3 (
BATT
IN
-) on the power supply to the negative (–) terminal
of the other battery.
4.
Only after initial system power-up,
connect a battery interconnect cable between the
negative (-) terminal on the first battery to the positive (+) terminal on the second battery.
To determine battery requirements, refer to Section 5.2 of this manual.

2.4.3 Connecting the Power Supply to Four Batteries:
1.
Use PK-PPS to set the charger to the appropriate battery charger current for the system’s
battery capacity.
2.
Continue the connection from the occupied positive (+) battery terminal to the positive (+)
terminal of the next unconnected battery.
3.
Continue the connection from the occupied negative (–) battery terminal to the negative (–)
terminal of the remaining unconnected battery.
4.
Only after initial system power-up,
connect the two pairs of batteries. Use two battery
interconnect cables to tie each unoccupied negative (–) terminal to an unoccupied positive (+)
terminal, as shown in Figure 2.12.

NOTE:
Use a ring terminal to attach two cables to one battery terminal.
