Before you use your HRDVS, you should use the Disk Setup screen to:
• Reformat drives
• Select and control the way data will be saved to your disk drives
• Set timelapse/event partitioning
1. Access the Disk Setup screen as follows: Main Setup

2. Use the following table to set your hard drive disk partitions.
3. After you have set the desired parameters, select Accept , then press Enter to confirm
your settings.
Field Description
Select Archive Drive Allocate one installed hard drive as an archive drive. If you have two drives present
and you do not select one drive as an archive drive, both of your drives will be
assigned as main drives for timelapse and/or event video storage.
Note This drive cannot be removed.
Auto Delete Options are: 1 to 365 .
Caution If enabled, the HRDVS automatically deletes stored data after the
number of days selected.
Drive Space Usage Set the percentage of the regular drive space that you want to be used for event
recording (video recording triggered by events) for each installed drive. The rest of
the space is automatically used for timelapse recording.
Note When you change the percentage of drive space allocated to event
recording, all the video clips must be cleared before the new setting is
applied. Ensure you set the percentage you want to use for event recording
before you begin recording video.
To set how the system responds when the disks are full, see Chapter 11, Event
Recording Setup .
Format All Clear all video clips from your drive(s).
Note This action deletes all of the data on your drive(s).
Clear Events Deletes all of the event data on your drive(s).
Clear Lapse Deletes all of the timelapse data on your drive(s).
