OUR NEW
STEAM HUMIDIFIER
MCR35269
Your Steam Humidifier installation includes the following parts and components that you should be familiar with:
A.
Cold Water Connection with Shutoff Valve
Provides the connection from the Steam Humidifier
to your home’s cold water pipe. Your Professional
Installer may have used the saddle valve that came
with the Steam Humidifier, or may have chosen a
different type of connection. This connection must
include a shutoff valve for you to turn off water flow
to the Steam Humidifier, if necessary.
IMPORTANT: the Steam Humidifier requires cold
water. Do not connect a hot water supply to the
Steam Humidifier.
B.
Water Supply Line
This 1/4-inch line brings cold water to the Steam
Humidifier from a water pipe in your home. Your
Professional Installer may have used the plastic
line provided or a copper pipe, as appropriate.
C.
In-line Water Filter
It is likely the installer provided a water filter on the
water supply line leading to the Steam Humidifier.
This helps minimize mineral deposits forming in the
Steam Humidifier’s tank. For optimal performance,
replace this water filter once each humidification
season. See “How do I change the water filter?”
on page 19.
D.
Shutoff Valve and Backflow Preventer
This valve was provided by Honeywell and is
required by code. It prevents water from flowing
backward in the water supply line.
E.
Power Cord
The Steam Humidifier is plugged into a 120 volt
AC household electrical outlet. The power cord
provided is 6 feet long.
