1.4 FSC Junction Boxes
FSC Junction Boxes (Part No. JB-4) and cables with self-locking connectors are used for
connecting the FS7-2173 Detectors to the Controller. The FSC self-locking connectors and
Junction Boxes are used to eliminate wiring problems and communication Faults and to assure
the FSC warranty. The Detectors can be “daisy-chained” using the Junction Boxes.
One Junction Box can accommodate two Detectors. The Junction Box at the end of the “daisy-
chain” can handle three Detectors. The Junction Box closest to the Controller is connected to
the Controller using a cable with a male self-locking 3/8-inch diameter connector at one end
(for plugging into the Junction Box) and open leads at the other end for wiring into the terminal
strip on the Controller.
