3.3.3 Detector Test

The Controller automatically performs FS7-2173 Detector self-tests every 10
minutes (factory set) to check the operation of its Detector. While these Detector
self-tests are occurring, the FS System 7 is still functional and able to detect and
alarm to a fire.

3.3.4

Manual Detector Test

Test the system “end-to-end” by activating each Detector separately on the
standard SX system. SX2 system requires at least two Detectors in a voting group
be activated.

Note: Use FSC’s Model FT-S7 or FS-746 Test Lamps to test each Detector
individually.

WARNING: DISABLE RESPONSES TO CONTROLLER

RELAY OUTPUTS TO AVOID ACTIVATING
EXTERNAL ALARMS AND/OR SUPPRESSION
SYSTEMS DURING TESTING.
