190 Taking Care of the Unexpected
If the Transmission Is Not
Functioning Properly
Although ‘‘ ’’ is not blinking in the gear position indicator, the vehicle
does not move:
If your ATV won’t move, it is possible the transmission is locked. Use
the following procedure to unlock the transmission.
Make sure the transmission is in neutral.
Apply the parking brake.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (
) position.
Remove the seat (page ) and left side cover (page ).
Loosen the screw ( ) and release the lock plate ( ).
Turn the emergency valve ( ) all the way in.
Restart the engine, drive the vehicle to a location where it can be
loaded and transported to a Honda dealer.
