Squeeze the front brake lever and step on the
rear brake pedal to check that the controls
operate normally. Check for proper freeplay

). Make sure there is no brake fluid
leakage (page ).
Check for smooth operation and adjust if

Check that the wheels turn properly as you
steer the handlebar. Move the handlebar right
and left and check that there is no excessive
backlash.
