PARKING
Touching the brakes after long hours or
heavy usage, can cause burn injuries. Also,
depending on the section, the engine can be
hot, and cause burn injuries.
1. After stopping the motorcycle, shift the
transmission into neutral and turn the
fuel valve OFF. Push the engine stop
button in and hold it in until the engine
stops completely.
2. Use the side stand to support the
motorcycle while parked.
Park the motorcycle on firm, level ground
to prevent it from falling over.
If you must park on a slight incline, aim the
front of the motorcycle uphill to reduce the
possibility of rolling off the side stand or
overturning.
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF and
remove the key.
ANTI-THEFT TIPS
1. Be sure the registration information for
your motorcycle is accurate and current.
2. Park your motorcycle in a locked garage
whenever possible.
3. Use an additional anti-theft device of
good quality.
4. Put your name, address and phone
number in this Owner’s Manual and
keep it on your motorcycle at all times.
Many times stolen motorcycles are
identified by information in the Owner’s
Manuals which are still with them.
