MAINTENANCE
TIMING BELT CHECK
Check the timing belt [1] for deterioration or cracks.
Replace if necessary (page 14-4).
IDLE SPEED CHECK/ADJUSTMENT
Use a tachometer with graduations of 50 min
-1
(rpm) or
smaller that will accurately indicate a 50 min
-1
(rpm)
change.
Start the engine and allow it to warm up to normal
operating temperature.
With the engine idling, turn the throttle stop screw [1] to
obtain the standard idle speed.
