MAINTENANCE
THE IMPORTANCE OF
MAINTENANCE
A well-maintained scooter is essential for
safe, economical and trouble-free riding. It
will also help reduce air pollution.
To help you proper care for your scooter,
the following pages include a Maintenance
Schedule and a Maintenance Record (Ref.
page 47 to 48) for regular scheduled
maintenance.
These instructions are based on the
assumption that the scooter will be used
exclusively for its designed purpose.
Sustained high speed operation or operation
in unusually wet or dusty conditions will
require more frequent service than specified
in the Maintenance Schedule. Consult your
Honda dealer for recommendations
applicable to your individual needs and use.

If your scooter overturns or becomes
involved in a crash, be sure your Honda
dealer inspects all major parts, even if you
are able to make some repairs.
WARNING
Improperly maintaining this scooter or
failing to correct a problem before you
ride can cause a crash in which you can
be seriously hurt or killed.
Always follow the inspection and
maintenance recommendations and
schedule in this owner’s manual.
MAINTENANCE SAFETY
This section includes instructions on some
important maintenance tasks. You can
perform some of these tasks with the tools
provided – if you have basic mechanical
skills.
