Tires
Fluids Check the levels of the engine oil (page ). Add the correct fluid as
necessary, and investigate the cause of any low fluid level.
Make sure the headlight, brake light, taillight, and turn signals are
working properly.
Lights
Freeplay Check the freeplay of the clutch lever (page ), front brake lever
(page ) and rear brake pedal (page ).
Check condition, adjust slack, and lubricate as needed (page ). Drive Chain
Fuses
Nuts & Bolts
Make sure you have a full supply of spare fuses.
Check the major fasteners and tighten as needed.
Check the air pressure with a gauge and add air if needed (page ).
Examine the tread for wear (page ).
Look closely for nails, embedded objects, cuts, and other types of
damage (page
). Roll your motorcycle so you can inspect the
entire surface.
Check the condition of the rims and spokes.
