6.4 Teaching-in
Please read this entire section before starting
the teach-in procedure!
To integrate the motion detector into your Homemat-
ic system and enable it to communicate with other
Homematic devices, you must teach it in first. You can
teach-in the motion detector directly to other Homemat-
ic devices or to the Homematic Central Control Unit.
The device can be connected both without a brightness
threshold (i.e. switching also in bright conditions) and
with a fix brightness threshold of approx. 10 lux (switch
-
ing only in twilight/darkness). The device operates with
a minimum transmission interval of 4 min. For direct
connection to a Homematic actuator, the duty cycle of
the Homematic actuator will be set to 5 min. Thus, e.g.
an a interruption-free illumination during longer lasting
movement is possible. It is possible to configure the
response brightness and response sensitivity as well as
the minimum transmission interval or further settings of
the device via the Homematic WebUI.
