Function and device overview
General system information
gent Homematic IP installation. Using existing or planned
switches and cabling reduces the installation costs to a
minimum. The design, colour and finish of switches that
have already been installed does not change, since exis-
ting frames and rockers can continue to be used.

General system information
This device is part of the Homematic IP smart home
system and works with the Homematic IP radio proto-
col. All devices of the system can be configured com-
fortably and individually with a smartphone via the
Homematic IP app. The available functions provided
by the system in combination with other components
are described in the Homematic IP User Guide. All cur-
rent technical documents and updates are provided at
www.eQ-3.de.

Adapters for brand switch systems
In order to achieve compatibility with as many manufac-
turers as possible and make integration in the different
designs easier, the following rocker adapters are available
as accessories. In exceptional cases the rocker holders or
frames from the different manufacturers may need to be
sawn or filed for adaptation purposes.
