• Use appliance on a sturdy or level surface.

• If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your

doctor before using your HoMedics foot bath.

• Individuals with pacemakers should consult a physician

before using this product.

• In case of pregnancy, diabetes or illness, consult your doctor

before using massager.

• We recommend using this unit for no longer than 20 minutes

at a time. Extensive use could cause the product to over-
heat. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the until
to cool before operating.

• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged

period of time, discontinue use and consult you doctor.
Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious 
condition.

• NEVER use any massager on open wounds, discolored

areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned,
inflamed or where skin eruptions or sores are present.

• Massage should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain

or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physi-
cian.

• NEVER use while sleeping or drowsy.

• Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.

• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the switch

or removing the plug.

Grounding Instructions

This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or
breakdown, grounding provides a path of least resistance for
the electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This
product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-
grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. 

DANGER

Improper connection of the equipment-grounding con-
ductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a
qualified electrician or serviceman 
if you are in doubt as to whether the product is properly
grounded. Do not modify the plug 
provided with the product - if it will not fit the outlet, have
a proper outlet installed by a 
qualified electrician. 

This product is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a
grounding plug that looks like the plug 
illustrated in 

Figure A.

A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in

Figure B 

may be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole recep-

tacle as shown in 

Figure D

if a properly grounded outlet is not

available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a
properly grounded outlet

can be installed by a quali-

fied electrician. The green-colored tab extending from the
adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a
properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is
used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
