Operating instructions
It is recommended that you boil the kettle several times following the below instruction
and discard the water before first use. This will remove any material or dust remains in the
appliance, which arise during the manufacturing process.
1. Open the lid by pulling up the knob, and fill the kettle with water. Then close the
lid (the automatic power cut-off function will not work with the lid open).
2. Caution: The water level must be between the “Max” and “Min” level as indicated
inside the kettle. Too little water will do damage to the heat element and too
much water could boil over!
3. Place the kettle on the power base before connecting the power supply.
Place the kettle in a way that the spout of the kettle is facing away from you.
4. Press the switch to “I” position and the power indicator light will switch on.
The water will begin to heat up. DO NOT open the lid or pour while the
water is boiling.
5. Caution: Ensure that the power switch is clear of obstructions and the lid is
firmly closed. The kettle will not turn off if the switch is constrained or if the
lid is left open.
6. Power will be cut off automatically and the power switch will return to
the “0” position once water has boiled. The power indicator light will turn off.
7. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
8. Note: Handle carefully when pouring the water from your kettle, as boiling water
can scald.
9. The boiling process can be terminated at any time by lifting the kettle off
the powerbase or pressing the power switch to the “0” position.
Caution: Never operate the kettle empty. In the event of this happening, the thermal
cut-off inside the kettle would operate and cut off power automatically. Unplug the
appliance and let it completely cool down for half an hour before filling it and trying to
boil water again.
Note: Ensure the power is turned off while the kettle is not in use.
Cleaning & Maintenance
1. Unplug the plug from the power socket. Make sure that the kettle is cool enough
to handle.
2. Do not immerse the kettle, power cord, power plug and power socket into water.
3. Ensure that the electric cord and circuit is dry.
4. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth.
5. Do not use scouring powder or abrasive products as they will damage the
surface of the kettle.
