9. Get started
To get started:
1. Remove the device and other components from box.
2. Plug the adapter cord into the device socket and plug the
adapter
into
an electrical outlet. All
energy level indicator lights
will turn on, and then
go off.
9.1 Before your first treatment

Remove all jewelry before use.
You must decide which energy level is right for your skin and the area you want
to treat. The device has 5 levels of energy from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the highest).
For example, you might treat one area at energy level 1, and another at level 4.
For information on energy levels, refer to section "8.2 Energy levels".
Spot Test
To choose the right energy level, test each treatment area separately (refer to
the skin color chart at the front of this manual).
1. Press the
control button
to turn on the device. The level 1 energy level
indicator light will go on.
2. Place the
treatment surface
on your skin to deliver one pulse. If you
did not experience abnormal discomfort after 24 hours, increase the
energy level on your next test spot. To increase the energy level, remove
the device from your skin and press the
control button
again. This will
increase the energy level.
3. Deliver one pulse on a different spot at energy level 2. Use the energy
levels indicated on the skin color chart. Wait 24 hours. If there are no
adverse effects, use a different test spot and continue testing at
increased energy levels to find the highest level that is comfortable for
you, without adverse effects.
4. When you find the highest energy level that is most comfortable for
that treatment area, you can start your treatment.
