YOUR SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT.
This guide contains several important safety measures for your appliance. Always read and follow all safety
messages.
• This is the safety alert symbol.
• This symbol alerts you of potential hazards that can kill or hurt you and
others.
• All safety messages will follow the safety alert symbol and either the word
“DANGER” or “WARNING. These words mean:
• Failure to comply with these instructions could result in a fire or
explosion that could cause serious injuries, death, or property
damage.
• Failure to follow these instructions could cause death or serious
injuries.
All safety messages will tell you what the potential hazard is, how to reduce the chance of injury, and
what will happen if the instructions are not followed.
WARNING
• Use the appliance outdoor only
• Read the instructions before using the appliance.
• Warning: accessible parts may be very hot. Keep young children away.
• This appliance must be kept away from flammable materials during use.
• Do not move the appliance during use
• Turn off the gas supply at the gas tank after use
• Do not modify the appliance
WARNING
Securely tighten all gas connections.
Have a qualified technician confirm that the gas pressure does not exceed the recommended pressure.
Examples of a qualified technician include:
• Licensed heating personnel,
• Authorized gas company personnel and authorized service personnel.
If your appliance is installed by a non-qualified individual, you run the risk of an explosion, fire or death.
The installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with either the National Fuel Gas Code,
ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, or the Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1, or the Propane Storage and Handling
Code, CSA B149.2
The outdoor cooking gas appliance, when installed, must be electrically grounded under local codes or, in the absence of such
local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, or the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1.
