14 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
14.1 FUELS
Use only heater oil according to EN 267
WARNING: To avoid risk of fire or explosion. Never use gasoline oil, drained oil from
crankcase, naphtha, paint thinners, alcohol or other highly flammable fuels.
14.2 VENTILATION
IMPORTANT : Be sure fuel tank is clean. Foreign matter such as rust, dirt, or water will cause the
ignition control assembly to shut down heater. Foreign matter may also require heater’s fuel sys-
tem to be frequently cleaned
Provide a fresh air opening of at least 30 cm
2
for each 1 kW rating. Provide extra fresh air if more
heaters are being used. The minimum ventilation requirements must be followed to avoid risks
associated with carbon monoxide poisoning. Make sure these requirements are met prior to oper-
ating heater.
WARNING: To avoid risk carbon monoxide poisoning, use the heater only in well venti-
lated space. Never try to use the heater for the purpose to heat residential rooms.
14.3 PREPARING FOR OPERATION
 Check the heater for possible shipping damage. If any is found, immediately notify the fac-
tory.
 Follow all of the "Precautions".
 Fill the fuel tank with clean heating oil. In extremely cold weather, condensation may de-
velop in the tank and it is recommended that a tablespoon of de-icer being added for each
gallon (4 liters) of fuel in the tank. When filling the heater, use at least 2 gallons (8 liters)
of fuel. Be sure heater is level and do not overfill. Use a funnel or can with a long fill spout.
 Locate heater at a safe distance from combustible materials.
 IMPORTANT: Before filling fuel tank at the first time or after long time storage, drain the
fuel tank of any moisture or condensation.
