Notice that the read & exec attribute is not checked, select edit and enable read and execute, then apply
and select OK. Do this for all DLL files in this folder. Once this is done, the error should disappear and the
HoltPCIeDemoDLL.exe should execute cleanly in the Cmd shell.

If the PCIe Link fails (LED8 OFF), power off the PC and try uninstalling the card and reinstalling the card
again to ensure a good fit. If the PC does not supply 1.5V on the PCIe Mini slot this will also cause a
link failure. Check with the PC motherboard manual to see if there’s a way to enable the 1.5V. The
card requires 1.5V and there is no way to make it work without 1.5V.
The projects/driver_test/x1553_find.exe test utility can be executed separately in a cmd shell window
to see if Windows 10 detected the PCIe link.
If Devices found is not zero, then the link is ok.

In some rare cases if the Demo fails to run try rebooting the PC and try again. You may need to do a
full powerdown to ensure that residual power is not supplied to the PCIe bus in this situation.

If 1553 bus traffic does not appear on the cable connectors try unplugging the ribbon cable from the
card and break out board and reinsert it again while trying to make sure it as straight as possible. In
our demonstration, we have the breakout board and the Mini PCIe adapter mounted on a clear piece
of lexan. The mount ensures that the fragile ribbon between the dual 2130 and the breakout board
remains intact and isn’t accidentally removed when the breakout board is connect to say a Ballard or
when the Saleae is attached to the bus terminals.

If the driver setup fails for some reason
after
you have performed the driver_installation procedure,
you may also use this procedure as a backup:
A.
Start the Windows Control Panel and Click on Device Manager. In the Action tab, select “Scan
for hardware changes”;

If you have 2 mini PCIe cards installed, you’ll see a display as follows – typically under Other
devices:
