The cable terminates with eight balanced XLR output connectors.

It is necessary to keep the channel assignments discrete through the
recording and mixing process. For example:

Channel 1 (left):
•
to channel 1 of a mixer
•
to channel 1 of a tape deck
•
to channel 1 of the final deliverable media
•
to left speaker in a surround sound playback system (5.1, 6.1,
7.1).
