7. Task-Oriented Procedures

45

l

Keep fuel away from the battery.

l

Do not exceed fuel tank capacity.

Failure to comply could result in serious or fatal injuries, and damage to the tractor.

Caution:

Improper handling of diesel fuel may result in poisoning or slipping. See

Safety

and Accident Prevention

chapter.

1. Park the tractor.
2. Ensure that the engine is shut off.
3. Check the fuel gauge for the amount of fuel needed.

Note:

The fuel tank capacity is 82 L / 21.5 gal.

4. Using a fuel cap key, unlock the fuel tank cap and remove the cap.

Caution:

Use only low-sulfur diesel fuel. See

Fluids and lubricants

section. In case of

temperatures below 0°C/32°F, use diesel additives.

5. Through the fuel tank fill tube, add enough diesel fuel to replenish the fuel tank without

overflowing it.

6. Reinstall the cap on the fuel tank and lock it with the fuel cap key.

Adjusting driver's seat (mechanical seat?)

This section provides instruction how to adjust the driver's seat in various ways. The driver's seat on the
C992 tractor is air-sprung and can be adjusted for the following:

l

backrest inclination

l

seat horizontal suspension

l

seat horizontal position

As an option, if the corresponding equipment is installed on the tractor, the driver's seat can also be
adjusted for the following:

l

seat depth

l

cushion inclination

l

seat height

l

armrest inclination

l

lumbar support

l

automatic weight adjustment
