AA Speaker Installation Instructions:
Step #1: Make sure your ignition switch stays in the “OFF” position.
Remove your outer fairing/headlamp assembly, and set aside. Refer to a
service manual if you need help with this. It’s always a good idea to have a
towel or something similar on your front fender to avoid dings or
scratches if anything is dropped.
Step #2: Unplug the factory wires at each front speaker. Locate and re
‐
move the 3 torx head screws, and single “speed nut” that holds each
speaker grill to the bike. The speakers and grills will come away from the
inner fairing as one unit.
Step#3: Separate the Hogtunes speakers from their grills. If you want to
use the supplied steel mesh grills, continue to Step #4. If you want to keep
the stock grill cloth look, take your stock grills and CAREFULLY separate
the factory plastic mesh that holds the grill cloth from the main grill
“ring”. Carefully remove the Hogtunes steel mesh from the Hogtunes ring.
Your factory mesh/grill cloth should have enough “tack” to stick onto the
Hogtunes ring, but will be properly secured when the grills are installed.
Step#4: In the kit is a bag with 6 Phillips head screws. Using these supplied
screws, install each 3572
‐
AA grill to the bike and re
‐
install the stock “speed
nut” on each side. Re
‐
attach the 5x7’s to their grills using the screws you
took out in Step 3, noting that the speakers must be oriented in the grills
so the wire connectors are closest to the radio.
Step#5: Re
‐
attach the factory wires to each speaker. NOTE: It is a good idea to
take a pair of pliers and gently squeeze the female connectors of the speaker
wires onto the male connectors of the speakers to insure a very snug fit! The # 1
reason for tech support calls is due to loose connections at the speaker. Please
make sure you have a very good connection to avoid this. If wiring to a car
radio, the smaller connector is the positive (+) , and the larger connector is the
negative (
‐
).
Step#6: Turn the radio on and test your speakers. Re
‐
install the bikes fairing/
headlamp assembly. Your new Hogtunes speakers are ready to enjoy!

Hogtunes 3572
‐
AA’s are 2 ohm (2
Ω
) speakers and will cause
damage if wired directly to 1998
‐
2005 factory radios built in power!
These will also cause damage to some car radios if wired directly to the
car radios built in power. Please check your car radios specifications to
make sure it is 2 ohm stable. These speakers can be used in 1998
‐
2005 or
bikes with a car radio if being powered by a Hogtunes amp, or any 2ohm
stable amplifier .
DO NOT USE THE FACTORY SCREWS FOR STEP #4!
Note: If you have installed the supplied steel mesh grills, there is a
chance the small holes may “clog” depending on the cleaner your using
when washing your bike. Use a mild cleanser and soft cloth to clean.
DO NOT use compressed air or a high pressure stream of water as this
will void the warranty if the speaker is damaged!
