7.4 Resetting
After the scale is turned on, it resets automatically regardless of the items placed
on it. This function may be used for taring when starting up the scale.
7.5 Taring
After turning the scale on, you can use the taring function to obtain the weight of
your product without its packaging. In order to do this, weigh an empty package
(e.g. a jar), press the
ON/OFF/TARE
button, wait until the displays shows

, then
weigh your product together with the package (e.g. a jar with grain inside).
7.6 Indicators on the display
Displayed when the maximum capacity is exceeded, i.e.
slightly above 5 kg (5000 g), precisely when 5199 g is
exceeded.
Displayed when the batteries are low. Replace the batteries
immediately.
• Remove the batteries from the device before you start cleaning it.

Wipe with a slightly damp cloth with some dishwashing agent, then wipe the
scale dry.
• Do not use any caustic agents for cleaning the device.
• Protect the device from penetration by water or other liquids.
• Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
8. CLEANING AND CARE
The device does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair the
device on your own. Always have a specialist perform repairs.
